I started at Body by Bennett after a friend who trained there convinced me to join her. It turned out to be a great way to socialize and begin an exercise routine that I could easily maintain. Having regularly scheduled workouts twice a week keeps me on course. Coupled with the gentle and consistent challenge from my trainers to push myself and achieve my targets, I have been able to stick with my workout plan. From time to time, I struggle with nagging and persistent injuries that force me to focus on treatment and remediation. Sometimes it is necessary to reduce the frequency and intensity of my exercise routine, for example, when a back injury left me unable to walk, in significant pain, and off work for a number of days.
However, with the struggles comes success, and after almost fifteen years off skis, I was able to enjoy a full day at Lake Louise over Christmas holiday exploring all of the slopes.
Despite the odd face-plant, my legs and lungs held up and a hot Jacuzzi tub that night eliminated most of the stiffness from the next day. Exercises, like countless push-ups and sit-ups or medicine ball balance work are really enjoyable and contribute to my success at B3.
